Vicky White was a true servant leader: she worked for nearly twenty years as an Alabama corrections officer, serving with distinction. She started her career at the Lauderdale County, Alabama detention center, where she rose quickly from Corrections Officer to Assistant Director of Corrections – becoming one of the first women in the state to hold that position. Vicky was passionate about her work and dedicated herself to providing a safe, secure environment for inmates and staff. Her commitment to improving conditions within the facility led to various improvements, including decreased violence among inmates and better educational opportunities.
Outside of work, Vicky had a great zeal for life. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and volunteering with several community organizations.

The funeral service for Vicky White will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 15th 2021, at Faith Church located on 2nd Street in Florence, Alabama. The family invites everyone to join them in celebrating her life and legacy. All are welcome to attend the service as we honour Vicky’s memory with love and respect.
